They have a strong vision that involves integrating innovation, knowledge, people, and products are seeking an adept Vice President, Procurement to be based in their APAC Corporate office.
Job Responsibilities:
The VP, Procurement is accountable for spearheading the formulation, execution, and achievement of sourcing strategies across all sectors to optimize value and cost savings for the organization. This position entails strategically consolidating expenditure across all global business sectors, employing cutting-edge procurement strategies and leveraging extensive industry expertise. It also involves adeptly managing internal stakeholders to promote the adoption of strategic procurement measures. Additionally, it encompasses the cultivation, maintenance, and oversight of strategic supplier relationships and contracts to maximize value creation and delivery.
Additional Responsibilities:-
• To develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise-wide category management strategy, employing top-tier and innovative methods to capitalize on opportunities for expenditure consolidation across diverse global business sectors and navigating Procure-to-Sell effectively.
• Collaborate with various business sectors to comprehend their distinct procurement requirements and challenges. Forge relationships with business stakeholders to gain insights into potential expenditure consolidation and pinpoint sourcing opportunities, harnessing enterprise scale and synergies.
• Identify opportunities for expenditure consolidation and optimization of total cost of ownership. Conduct supplier rationalization across all sectors.
• Proactively engage with business stakeholders to encourage early procurement involvement and thoroughly explore design-to-value opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal business stakeholders to ensure the deployment of appropriate strategies, recognizing that tailored approaches may be necessary for certain business sectors, and identify future requirements in alignment with the business strategy.
• Continuously evaluate evolving market trends to ensure the strategy remains relevant. Conduct regular reviews of supply market trends and analyze expenditure to enhance category strategies.
• Lead negotiations with key suppliers to secure favorable terms, optimal quality, and competitive pricing with cost savings.
• Cultivate and expand effective strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
• Employ advanced data analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities across the global enterprise, partnering with and influencing stakeholders to create enterprise value.
• Collaborate closely with procurement business partners to facilitate the development and implementation of sourcing strategies and value-added projects.
• Lead and inspire a high-performance team to deliver maximum value through strategic category and supplier management.
The Successful Applicant
You must have a Degree in Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain, or Business Administration from a reputable educational institution with exposure to both Direct and Indirect categories within a Manufacturing environment.
