Our client is a leading player in the maritime and logistics industry based in Singapore with operations spanning multiple countries globally. Well-regarded for its robust operations and forward-thinking business approach, the company continues to grow its international reach through innovation and high performance. As part of its ongoing expansion and transformation efforts, it is looking to appoint a Specialist, Finance Business Control to ensure business strategies and objectives are achieved.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Performance Reporting & Analysis: Perform monthly reporting, forecasting, and profitability analysis. Evaluate revenue, costs, and overall performance.
- Budgeting & KPI Management: Lead the annual budgeting process, including variance analysis, yield assessment, and monitoring of KPIs.
- Management Reporting & Insights: Prepare management presentation materials and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Financial Reconciliation & Alignment: Identify, reconcile, and resolve differences between financial accounting and management P&L
- Systems Enhancement & Expertise: Serve as subject-matter expert, leading system improvement and digitalisation initiatives to optimise models, reporting efficiency, productivity, and accuracy, while supporting other related assignments.
Key Requirements:
- Recognised Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with minimum 4 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, process improvement, or system automation.
- Prior experience in container shipping is highly preferred.
- Proficiency or experience with Power BI and general automation programming is a plus.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and financial systems effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and analyse financial performance clearly to stakeholders.
- Leadership qualities, team-oriented mindset, flexibility, and ability to act as a subject-matter expert on various projects.
