Senior Cloud Engineer (Luxury Retail)

About the Company:

Our client is a Luxury Retail conglomerate with a presence worldwide. As part of the company’s expansion plan, they will be looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Cloud Infrastructure and Architecture for the company across its retail operations.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Head, design and deploy scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure across regions and manage containerized environment using Serverless Architecture.
• Develop standardized cloud governance and Landing Zone architectures.
• Implement SRE best practices, defining SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for reliability.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates with Terraform.
• Develop automation scripts and cloud resource management workflows using Python and Terraform.
• Design cloud security architecture incorporating IAM, VPC, encryption, and compliance auditing.
• Maintain cloud architecture documentation and build a knowledge base for team enablement.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 to 10 years in AWS cloud infrastructure implementation and hands-on Severless Architecture experience
• Minimally 5 years of experience in AWS Landing Zone and Well-Architected Framework (WA) projects.
• Proven experience in Terraform, OpenTofu and Bitbucket
• Proficient in cloud models including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS or hybrid, business continuity and disaster recovery including hybrid/multi-cloud DR and release strategies.
• Experience in end-to-end cloud transformation in Retail segment across different functions such as Supply Chain, Customer Service and Finance.
• Knowledge of GDPR, PCI-DSS, and data cross-border compliance.
• Proficient in Mandarin to speak with Taiwan and Hong Kong colleagues.
• Prior experience in Retail or Luxury MNCs will be highly preferred.
• Experience in AWS GenAI will be a good to have.
