Senior Backend Engineer (Brokerage)

About the Company:

Our client is in the Fintech space and is a leading US brokerage firm that is looking to expand their Technology bench. They are hiring for a Senior Backend Engineer from a trading or/and brokerage background

Role & Responsibilities:

• Involved as part of technical leadership team to enhance the company’s core order management engineer, optimize TPS, feature development and expand into new asset classes
• Lead the development of real-time high-throughput systems with near perfect uptime
• Resolve any software engineering production issues

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor in Financial Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years of proven experience in developing high-throughput distributed systems
• Proven experience in Golang, C++, Rust or/and Python
• Experience building async queuing systems, batch processing, pub-sub architecture, websockets
• Experience in Database scalability & systems-level performance optimization
• Familiarity with infra-as-code, especially in AWS (e.g. configuring with Terraform, docker container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines)
• Problem-solve from a “solutions-first” and “product-first” perspective, rather than “code-first” or “technology-first”
• Prior experience in Trading, Brokerage, Quant, Crypto or similar industry will be required
• Fluency is Chinese to speak with Mandarin-speaking clients will be highly preferred
