Segment Sales Manager (Industrial Automation Leader)

Role Overview
This role is responsible for driving segment growth within the Data Center and Semiconductor markets, with a strong focus on expanding share of wallet, improving profitability, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The incumbent will lead segment strategy execution, coordinate sales activities, oversee ongoing projects, and support the resolution of key customer issues. The role also provides market intelligence, including insights on pricing trends and competitive dynamics.
The position sits within a regional sales organization for electrical and automation solutions and works closely with customers, consultants, asset owners, project developers, internal sales teams, regional management, and local leadership.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the segment business strategy and growth initiatives for the Data Center and Semiconductor markets.

Build deep understanding of customer business drivers, including emerging risks and trends (e.g. sustainability, digitalisation, cybersecurity), and translate these into commercial opportunities.

Contribute to account and sales strategy development by providing short- and long-term business plans for key customers.

Define sales targets, monitor competitor activities, and provide input on market pricing to ensure effective response strategies.

Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure effective project tracking, execution, and customer issue resolution.
Requirements

Proven track record in B2B sales, including prospecting, closing, sales process management, and customer engagement.

Experience working in highly competitive, technically driven markets, preferably Data Center and/or Semiconductor.

5–7 years of experience in variable speed drives, electrical power distribution, controls, or related industrial solutions.

Strong interest in energy efficiency, electrification, and sustainability, with the ability to engage stakeholders and align solutions to business needs.

Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.

Valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence.
