Our Client is a Fast-Growing Technology company, committed to driving innovation across Southeast Asia. Their regional footprint spans multiple countries, and we are looking for a strategic HR leader to partner with business leaders to drive people initiatives across the SEA region.
Position Overview:
The Regional HR Manager, SEA will serve as the key HR business partner for our Southeast Asia operations. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will lead regional HR strategy and execution across multiple countries, ensuring alignment with business objectives, local regulations, and global HR practices. You will act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, fostering a high-performance culture, driving talent development, and supporting organizational growth in a fast-paced tech environment.
Role & Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnering
- Partner closely with C-Level leaders (founder/co-founders) and Department Heads to provide solutions on both day-to-day people matters and long-term organizational strategies.
- Advise and coach leadership on best practices across recruitment planning, career development, talent management, learning & development, compensation & rewards, employee relations, recognition, and organizational design.
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws by working with payroll vendors and mitigating legal risks.
Talent Acquisition & Regional Recruitment
- Drive recruitment efforts across Southeast Asia, including niche headhunting and pipeline management.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, define job requirements, and develop sourcing strategies.
- Research, identify, and engage prospective candidates through LinkedIn and regional job portals.
- Lead the full recruitment process, from interviews and assessments to reference checks.
HR Operations & Employee Experience
- Oversee the HR team and manage a direct report to deliver end-to-end HR services across the SEA region.
- Ensure seamless execution of HR processes, including onboarding, transfers, offboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and immigration matters.
- Manage HR operations and C&B policies, aligning with both regulatory requirements and business needs.
- Lead initiatives in employee engagement, performance management, career development, and organizational effectiveness.
- Draft and manage employment contracts for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
- Maintain HRIS and payroll data accuracy while monitoring HR reporting quality.
- Act as the point of escalation for complex employee relations matters and lead cross-functional HR projects.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage and review service providers (payroll, insurance, recruitment) to ensure adherence to service level agreements and resolve service delivery issues.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams such as Marketing and Finance to support HR-related initiatives.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) preferred
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a regional HRBP role
- Strong experience in end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, C&B, employee engagement, and performance management
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR compliance across SEA markets
- Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to manage complex employee relations cases and lead cross-functional HR projects
- Hands-on, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
