Position Summary:
The Regional HR Director, APAC will serve as a strategic business partner to the regional leadership team, driving the people agenda across multiple markets. This individual will lead HR strategies and initiatives that enable business growth, talent development, and organizational effectiveness across the Asia Pacific region.
The role oversees the full spectrum of HR, including Business Partnering, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, and Employee Engagement, ensuring alignment with global frameworks while tailoring programs to local market needs.
Role & Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
- Partner with the APAC Managing Director and business leaders to shape and execute the regional people strategy aligned with global priorities and local market dynamics.
- Provide insights and recommendations on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent optimization to support growth and transformation initiatives.
Talent & Organizational Development
- Drive talent management and succession planning initiatives to build a strong leadership pipeline.
- Champion leadership development, career progression, and employee capability-building programs across the region.
- Foster a high-performance and inclusive culture that reflects the brand’s values and vision.
Compensation & Benefits / HR Operations
- Oversee regional C&B frameworks to ensure internal equity, market competitiveness, and compliance with local legislation.
- Partner with global HR teams to review and implement annual compensation cycles and reward programs.
- Ensure operational excellence across HR processes, compliance, and policies through collaboration with country HR teams.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Lead initiatives that promote engagement, collaboration, and a positive employee experience.
- Serve as a culture ambassador, driving communication and change management initiatives across diverse markets.
Regional & Global Collaboration
- Collaborate with global COEs (Centres of Excellence) and HR peers to localize global initiatives for the APAC region.
- Lead or support cross-functional projects and HR transformation efforts.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 15 years of progressive HR experience, with regional leadership exposure across multiple APAC markets.
- Proven track record as a strategic HR Business Partner or HR Leader in a premium lifestyle, retail, or consumer brand environment.
- Strong understanding of APAC labor markets, employment laws, and cultural nuances.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategic and operational priorities.
- Passion for people, culture, and brand excellence.
