About the Company:
Our client is an established Industrial Manufacturing Multinational Corporation. They are seeking a dynamic and motivated Legal Counsel to join their global Legal and Compliance function. Based in Singapore, this is an exciting opportunity for a qualified lawyer looking for a varied and challenging in-house role within a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
The role will involve close collaboration with business and functional teams across the APAC region, supporting a wide range of legal matters—from commercial and corporate work to regulatory, governance, and strategic projects. This position offers visibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to contribute directly to business decision-making and risk management.
Role & Responsibilities:

Partner with internal stakeholders and external legal advisors to support business activities in Southeast Asia and the broader APAC region

Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of commercial contracts, including supplier, customer, and service agreements

Provide legal guidance to cross-functional departments such as HR, finance, supply chain, marketing, operations, and technology

Advise on a range of legal risk areas including data protection, competition law, trade regulations, and compliance matters

Assist with dispute resolution, litigation support, and debt recovery processes

Support corporate governance and company secretarial requirements for regional entities

Contribute to M&A, joint ventures, investments, and other strategic transactions

Prepare board and committee materials, and assist with corporate documentation and filings

Lead or participate in special projects involving legal, operational, or compliance frameworks
Key Requirements:

A law degree and admission to practice in Singapore or another relevant jurisdiction

Minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE), ideally gained in private practice or a combination of law firm and in-house roles

Strong background in commercial contracts and corporate legal matters

Experience with regional or international legal issues is highly desirable

Strong business acumen with the ability to deliver pragmatic legal solutions

Clear communicator with excellent written and verbal English

Strong project management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

A collaborative, adaptable mindset and the ability to thrive in a multicultural, cross-functional setting
