Our client is an internationally renowned education entity in Singapore, playing a central role in our nation’s innovation, development, and continued progress. In line with their dedication to create a better future through excellent education, groundbreaking research and innovative ventures, they are currently looking for a Lead in Data Platform to leads a significant part of its data transformation road map.

Roles & Responsibilities:

In this leadership position, you will be overseeing a team of data architect and engineers to transform the current data platform technologies into a more modern stack (cloud based to support analytics, AI and microservices).

You will be responsible for:

• Data Platform Delivery Management: Oversee the delivery life cycle of the platform, seeing though the implementation of cloud platform, data lakes and warehouses.
• Team Management: Play a leadership role in the transformation journey, guiding projects to completion while promoting strong innovation and collaborative spirit in line with organisation culture.
• Subject Matter Expertise: As the technical expert in the field, you will provide advise to the teams, keeping the organisation ahead in the tech landscape.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure testing and standard control has been carried out in line with guidelines, assessing platform usability and quality across data platforms.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in IT / Computer Science or relevant fields, with at least 10 years of experience in a technical leadership position.
• Experience in managing entire life cycle of data lake / warehouse development, with working experience in Cloud computing platforms (preferably Azure).
• Strong people management skills, with proven capabilities to lead a strong cross functional technology team.
• Good team player with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
