About Company
Our client is a newly set up business, joint-venture between two state-owned organisations in South East Asia. With target operationalisation in early 2027, they are currently seeking a Head, Financial to lead the setting up of its Finance organisation.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Finance / Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives. Leverage on financial reporting and data analytics tools to provide insights that drive business performance.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS/SFRS, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness.
- Management Reporting: Prepare and present financial management reports, business performance reviews, and strategic recommendations to the CEO, Board of Directors, shareholders and key stakeholders.
- Financial Risk Management: Drive financial risk management and ensure cost optimization across the organization. Implement transfer pricing and cross-border taxation strategies.
- Internal Controls & Governance: Establish and maintain strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, governance frameworks, and statutory requirements.
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Key Requirements:
- Recognised Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related disciplines, preferably with professional qualification i.e. CPA/ACCA.
- Minimum 12 to 15 years of relevant progressive experience in Finance, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Strong understanding and kept abreast of financial and accounting reporting standards, as well as regulatory changes
- Possess strong communication and collaboration skills, with a detail-oriented and adaptable approach in a dynamic business environment.
