About the Company:
We are engaged by a leading multinational company in the industrial and manufacturing sector to appoint an experienced Global Procurement Manager. This is a critical role responsible for managing key procurement categories and driving strategic sourcing initiatives on a global scale.
Reporting directly to the Global Procurement Director, the successful candidate will leverage market insights and supplier expertise to optimize procurement performance, strengthen supplier relationships, and contribute to the company’s global growth and operational efficiency.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee key procurement categories on a global scale, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and execute effective category sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
- Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable pricing, contract terms, and service levels.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier performance, and risk factors to proactively manage supply continuity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support new product launches and business growth initiatives.
- Identify and evaluate alternative suppliers to mitigate risks and enhance supply chain resilience.
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, supplier management, and cost savings initiatives.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- 10 years of progressive procurement experience, with strong strategic sourcing and category management expertise.
- Proven track record in managing global supplier relationships and complex negotiations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills across diverse teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage market intelligence for informed decision-making.
- Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable to facilitate effective communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, including teams at the company’s manufacturing facility in China.
