Regional Financial Controller

About the role

This Regional Financial Controller role, based in Singapore and reporting directly to the CEO, will lead the finance function for the European market. This role entails spearheading financial operations and strategy across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead and oversee regional finance functions and processes, encompassing supervision of territories in Europe.
• Ensure the comprehensive accounting spectrum, guaranteeing precision, promptness, and adherence to financial standards.
• Collaborate closely with the respective finance teams to supervise daily financial operations.
• Provide financial analysis, execute budgeting, and deliver forecasting assessments on business performance.
• Oversee regional closure and audit processes to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
• Assess and improve processes and internal controls to boost efficiency and scalability.
• Oversee the implementation of new finance systems and facilitate system migration.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership and analytical skills, coupled with a meticulous approach to financial management and a keen eye for detail. Effective communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to adapt to evolving financial landscapes are also crucial for success in this role.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with professional certifications.
• At least 8 years of related experience, with minimum 5 years in managerial/leadership roles.
• Background in start-ups, retail, ecommerce, or B2C commercial sectors is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and adeptness in teamwork.
• Action-oriented go-getter and hands on.
• Proficiency in technology, particularly in driving or managing ERP implementations.
