Our client is a well-established organisation with a strong regional presence, focused on driving innovation, capability development, and long-term value creation. In line with its growth plan, the organisation is seeking a Director, Finance & Strategy to lead strategic finance initiatives and partner senior stakeholders in driving business transformation and decision-making.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Capital & Treasury Management: Lead liquidity planning and investment strategies, including the establishment and management of long-term funding vehicles to support future research and innovation initiatives.
• Strategic Business Partnering: Provide financial leadership and advisory on key strategic initiatives, including investment opportunities, M&A activities, and spin-off evaluations.
• Performance & Governance: Develop and oversee performance frameworks (KPIs/SLAs) to ensure high standards of service delivery, financial discipline, and governance across the Finance function.
• Finance Transformation: Drive the shift towards a value-adding Finance function by strengthening commercial capabilities and enabling more proactive, insight-driven decision support.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior stakeholders across public and private sectors, influencing decisions and aligning financial strategies with organisational priorities.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Finance or Accountancy, with a recognised professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CA).
• Extensive experience in finance leadership roles, with a strong track record in transformation and change management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to operate effectively in complex and dynamic environments.
• Exposure to investment-related activities (e.g. VC, M&A) and experience bridging public and private sector considerations will be advantageous.
