My client is a commercial vehicle manufacturer that specializes in designing, producing, and selling heavy-duty, medium-duty, and light-duty trucks primarily for logistics, construction, and long-haul transportation. Role & Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading Hub APAC in commercial aftersales to provide support to various regions on parts sales, pricing, availability and logistical coordination.
Drive and develop parts business through the regions
- Developing hub parts business to ensure year on year growth for UD Trucks importer network
- Setting annual parts sales targets for markets and follow-up
- Performing sales analysis to understand sales pattern and challenge markets on growth
- Conduct bi-weekly and monthly meetings with markets to understand challenges and support required
- Focus on top customer penetration and activities to improve parts sales
- Studying special price support request and provide support as per governance
Pricing and Campaigns
- Deliver month on month GP as per target per region
- Monthly GP analysis and work on improvement
- Develop parts pricing strategy after receiving cost information from UD Headquarters and set suggested retail price to achieve GP target, considering parts cost change
- Work with markets to create and implement service and parts campaigns, follow-up and report on campaign performance.
Parts Availability
- Ensure parts availability across markets to support end customer to achieve uptime
- Oversee the coordination efforts across all regions on parts logistical matters and communicate such requirements with Service Parts Operations & Logistics (SPOL)
- Work with dealer inventory manager (DIM) on LPA expansion and support, setting LPA targets for the regions and supporting regions to achieve those LPA linked targets
- Follow-up on large orders, back orders, parts overdue and payments
- Assist on tender and contract reviews across Hub APAC on parts pricing and logistical matters
- For new product launches or new importer set up, ensure initial parts stocking, parts pricing set-up in system, and system training are conducted
Retail Support
- Develop retail KPIs and workflow process with each region for key importers to support growth in performance of dealerships and branches
- Create a platform for best practice exchange within Hub APAC to develop “cross regional” strategies to provide better support of aftersales resources, programs and initiatives.
- Develop service agreements suitable for each region or market by advising on parts pricing and competitor analysis
- Develop aftersales competencies of importers in the markets with a robust organisational structure and workflow
- Consolidate reporting (forecasts and business reports) within Hub APAC for commercial aftersales areas
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Aftersales within automotive industry, preferably in multinational companies, and in Oceania and Asia
- Solid understanding of Commercial Aftersales and importer handling
- Knowledge on parts pricing and parts logistics
- Customer orientated mindset and Partnership mindset with importers
- Good understanding of the truck/heavy vehicle business and good understanding of importer/dealer business
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Entrepreneurial mindset (lean, cost and time efficient, focused, creative, accountable)
- Ability to manage and drive a wide range of diverse issues
- International experience and multicultural competence
