APAC Trade Compliance Counsel/Advisor

Our client is a pioneering German HQ technology company that specialises in sustainable mobility solutions and serves global markets with innovative products. With a presence across 56 countries, they are building a new export control and sanctions department for the APAC region.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the team lead develop and execute export control and sanctions compliance strategies across APAC.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for proactive risk management.
- Collaborate with legal, sales, logistics, and engineering to ensure compliance alignment.
- Provide expert guidance on export control matters to senior management.
- Lead cross-border projects ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
- Organize and deliver compliance training sessions to employees.
- Stay updated on changes in export control laws and assess their impact.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree in International Trade or Law preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in APAC export control and sanctions regulations with >5 years relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with international export compliance requirements.
- Experience in implementing trade compliance procedures.
- Proven track record in strategic planning for compliance programs.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent advisory and communication abilities.
