The Company:
Our client is a leading hospitality MNC with ambitious plans of growing to a capacity of 300 hotels across the APAC region. They are renown for their focus on customer service and fantastic benefits package including free resorts stays, discounted rates and extensive medical insurance package. Their employees will also have a chance to conduct business travel and have a view on their own resorts.
Responsibilities:
Reporting into the APAC senior counsel, the role involves:
- Working alongside a legal counsel focusing on both commercial and internal legal support for North Asia and SEA cluster regions
- Review of complex contracts for franchising, leasing and commercial terms of hotel development and franchising deals
- Review of internal contracts for supply chain, vendor, IT, marketing and employment agreements.
- Corp sec support for the region utilising external service providers
- Corporate transactional work and projects for the region
Requirements:
- Ideally 3 – 5 PQE, although senior commercial contract negotiators are welcome to apply (min LLB, common law qualified otherwise)
- Experience not in general, but complex commercial agreements with an eye for detail.
- Real estate, hospitality or retail sector experience would be advantageous
- Lean team approach; ability to research, take responsibility + accountability, add value and be proactive – every team member counts
