Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal guidance and support to diverse business units, including transactional banking, wealth management, and trade finance.
- Navigate complex legal matters involving agreements, regulations, and product development.
- Collaborate with external counsel and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project implementation.
- Conduct training sessions for employees on legal and ethical considerations within their domain.
- Champion high-quality internal policies and procedures through legal review and sign-off.
- Manage legal documentation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Contribute to the success of regional projects across various territories.
Requirements:
- Singapore qualified as this is a Singapore market focused role. Ideally 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a fast-paced financial services environment (corporate banking and derivatives a plus).
- In-depth understanding of Singapore’s legal and regulatory landscape for banking operations (including relevant Acts, Subsidiary Legislation, MAS Notices, and Guidelines).
- Proven ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- Team player with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach.
