About the job

Our client is a global financial group specialising in institutional broking, retail broking and investment banking. The client is currently seeking a highly motivated, pro-active and results-driven India Market Equity Sales Specialist to join our team in Singapore. You will closely liaise with the Research, Dealing and Sales Team in India and develop Institutional Sales business while working with India-centric Singapore-based clients.

This is a key role responsible to serve as the interface between our companies and our clients in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage existing institutional client accounts and onboard potential clients from Singapore to develop institutional business for India desk.
  • Work closely with Research/Sales in India on their investment/trading ideas and pro-actively provide appropriate market information and services to clients.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide relevant stock ideas, market insights research reports, investment opportunities.
  • Assist the team with corporate/analyst marketing, meetings, industry events and corporate access.
  • Strong understanding of equity markets and products. Understanding of Fixed Income products and developments in GIFT City in India are a plus.

Requirements:

  • Graduate/Post-Graduate in Finance, Business or related discipline. Experience of minimum 6-7 years in Institutional business.
  • Well-versed with Bloomberg Features/ Functions and MS Office.
  • Client-facing personality and strong communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, pro-active and work well with other team members as well as independently.
  • Candidate should already be based in Singapore with a valid work visa (if applicable).
  • Certification of CMFAS 1A, 6, 6A
